Central Government Employees Holiday List 2027 PDF: The Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), has officially notified the Central Government Holiday List for 2027 for offices located in Delhi/New Delhi. The notification includes the list of Gazetted Holidays (Closed Holidays) and Restricted Holidays (RH) that can be availed by Central Government employees during the calendar year.
The 2027 holiday calendar is a mixed one. While there are several excellent long weekends, a number of important national and religious festivals unfortunately fall on Saturdays and Sundays, reducing the effective number of working-day holidays.
Highlights of Central Government Holidays 2027
- 17 Gazetted Holidays
- 32 Restricted Holidays (RH)
- Employees may choose any two Restricted Holidays from the RH list.
- Offices outside Delhi/New Delhi may select three additional optional holidays from the list prescribed by DoPT depending upon local festivals.

Since both fall on the same Sunday, employees do not receive an additional substitute holiday.
