EWS/DG Admission 2026-27 Required Documents in Delhi
An Income Certificate issued by a Revenue Officer of at least the rank of Tehsildar, or a BPL/AAY/Food Security Card granted by the Food and Civil Supply Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi, are required documents. Additionally, a SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar from the Government of NCT of Delhi is necessary. A Certificate for Children with Special Needs or Disabilities issued by a Government Hospital must also be submitted. Proof of Orphan and Transgender status, as well as documentation for Children living with or affected by HIV, are also mandatory for consideration.
What are the distance requirements for RTE admission in Delhi?

- Individuals are required to log in using their ID/Registration Number and Password in order to determine the nearest schools.
- Upon accessing the Step-I page, they will be able to view the information submitted during registration.
- Users must enter their residential address and proceed to select the appropriate Assembly constituency (Vidhan Sabha) and Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub Locality from the provided drop-down menu.
- After entering these details, individuals will receive a list of nearby schools categorized by distance ranges (0-1, 1-3, 3-6, >6 Kms.) upon clicking the Step-2 to Step-5 buttons.
- In cases where a specific Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub-Locality is not available in the drop-down menu, individuals are advised to choose the nearest available option from the provided list. Users can select up to six schools within a 6 Km radius, with a maximum of five schools located beyond 6 Kms.
- The online admissions process for EWS/DG Children in Private Unaided Recognized Schools in Delhi will be facilitated through a Computerized Lottery/Draw of Lots System.
Delhi RTE 25 Admission: Age Criteria 2026-27
Parents seeking EWS/DG admission for the upcoming 2026-27 session must adhere to specific age criteria for the Entry Level Classes in the Delhi RTE School Admission process. Children applying for Nursery/Pre-school should be between 3 to 5 years old as of March 31, 2026. Similarly, for KG/Pre-Primary, the age range is set at 4 to 6 years by the same date.
