RRB Group D Recruitment (NTPC) 2024: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

In 2024, the Railway Recruitment Board will conduct the Group D examination with a clear and organized format designed to thoroughly assess applicants. The examination process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination. The CBT plays a pivotal role in this assessment and consists of various sections such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, as well as General Awareness and Current Affairs. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the CBT.

For each correct answer, candidates receive one point; however, there’s a penalty for wrong answers, with one-third of a point deducted. To cater to a wide range of candidates, the CBT will be offered in 15 languages in addition to English and Hindi. Those who perform well on the CBT will be invited to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), after which Document Verification and a Medical Examination will take place.

It’s crucial for candidates to understand that the Railway Administration holds the authority to choose between a single-stage or multi-stage CBT format based on situational needs. Candidates who successfully navigate the CBT must then complete the PET before moving on to Document Verification and Medical Examination. Detailed structures of the CBT are provided below to assist candidates in their preparation and planning.
