HSRP Number Plate Rajasthan 2024: In the year 2024, Rajasthan’s HSRP Number Plate system is set to revolutionize vehicle safety and traffic law enforcement. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, under the Government of India, introduced this mandatory initiative through notification GSR 1162(E) on December 4, 2018, and SO 6052 on December 6, 2018.
Following suit, the State Government of Rajasthan released order no. 21063 on September 21, 2023, detailing the protocol for affixing HSRP and color-coded stickers on vehicles registered pre-April 1, 2019. The installation process of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) comprises several crucial elements. Initially, it involves attaching the HSRP registration number plate itself, which is a specialized plate resistant to tampering and equipped with multiple security measures. These security features encompass a hologram made of chromium and a distinctive identification number engraved by laser. The HSRP is firmly fixed onto the vehicle using snap locks that cannot be removed or reused. Moreover, the installation of HSRP includes adding a third registration plate in the form of color-coded stickers.
These self-obliterating hologram stickers made of chromium are positioned on the inner left-hand corner of the vehicle’s windshield. The color backgrounds of these stickers differ based on the type of fuel utilized by the vehicle. For instance, diesel vehicles are adorned with stickers displaying an orange background, while petrol and CNG vehicles bear light blue backgrounds, and vehicles using alternative fuels exhibit grey backgrounds. Additionally, the third registration plate features a 1 cm green strip indicating adherence to the required regulations.

Vehicle owners in Rajasthan are required to affix the High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) on their vehicles if they were registered before April 1, 2019. The deadlines for HSRP installation vary based on the last numerical digit of the vehicle’s registration number. Vehicles with registration numbers ending in 1 or 2 must have their HSRP fixed by February 29, 2024.
Those ending in 3 or 4 have until March 31, 2024, to comply. For vehicles ending in 5 or 6, the deadline is April 30, 2024; for 7 or 8, it is May 31, 2024, and for 9 or 0, the deadline is June 30, 2024. It is crucial for vehicle owners to meet these deadlines to ensure that they are in line with the HSRP regulations.

The High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) numbers for vehicles in Rajasthan for the year 2024 have been updated with the rate list. The rates, inclusive of GST, fitment, and convenience charges, are as follows:

- Three-Wheelers fall under the category of Rs 470.00.
- Four-Wheelers, specifically Light Motor Vehicles (LMV), have a maximum rate of Rs 695.00.

- Tractors and Agriculture Equipments are categorized at Rs 495.00.
