University of Gour Banga PG Admission 2026-27; The University of Gour Banga (UGB), Malda, West Bengal has officially started the admission process for its 2-Year Post Graduate (PG) Programmes under NEP 2020 for the academic session 2026-27. Eligible graduates can now submit their online applications for various MA, MSc, MCom, LL.M. and M.Lib programmes through the university admission portal.

Students graduating in 2024, 2025 and 2026 are eligible to apply. Candidates awaiting their final semester results in 2026 may also apply, provided they have cleared all previous semesters and upload their final marks within the prescribed schedule.

Who Can Apply?

Graduates of 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Final Semester students awaiting results may also apply.
Applicants must satisfy the subject-wise eligibility criteria.
A valid ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) ID is compulsory.
Candidates passed before 2024 are not eligible.

No Application Fee

One of the biggest advantages this year is that the University has waived the online application fee as per the Government of West Bengal notification. Eligible candidates can submit their applications completely free of cost.

Register using your mobile number and Secondary Registration Number/UID.
Generate User ID and Password.
Fill the online application form carefully.
Upload photograph, signature and required certificates.

Selection Process

Admissions will be purely merit-based according to marks or CGPA obtained in the Honours/Single Major programme. In case of a tie, preference will be decided based on Minor subject marks, Higher Secondary marks, Madhyamik marks and finally the candidate’s date of birth.

OBC-NCL – 7%
EWS – 10%
PwD Reservation – 5%

For most programmes, 80% of seats are reserved for Home University students and 20% for candidates from other universities, subject to university rules.
