Tamil Nadu TN RTE 25 Lottery Draw Result

In the state of Tamil Nadu, for the academic year 2024-25, a lottery process will not be utilized for enrolling students in the available vacancies for those seeking admission under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for 25% reservation in private schools. However, the demand for these reserved seats is high, with each school receiving numerous applications for Class 1 or LKG from children falling under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) categories. To address this, a Draw of Lots system will be implemented to fairly select the students for RTE 25 admissions.

To facilitate the lottery process, each school will establish a committee responsible for conducting the event on the school premises, in the presence of all the applicants’ parents. This committee will also include two parents of applicants, ensuring transparency and impartiality in the selection process. Following the lottery draw, the school must display the first selection list prominently on the notice board, and the selected students will be notified through a formal communication process. This method aims to provide equal opportunities for all applicants and streamline the admission process for RTE 25 quota seats in private schools.

TN RTE LKG or Class-1 Admission 2024-25: The Government of Tamil Nadu has recently announced a significant initiative for the academic year 2024-25 concerning the reservation of 25% seats for TN RTE School LKG or Class-1 admissions. Families can avail themselves of this opportunity by submitting applications for admissions between 22nd April 2024 and 20th May 2024 to secure placements for their children in the upcoming academic year.
