Punjab RTE 25 Admission 2025-26: The Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009 mandates that unaided private schools in all states and Union Territories adhere to the annual ‘Right to Free and Compulsory Education’ directive. As per this law, private educational institutions are required to allocate 25% of their seats for students from underprivileged backgrounds.
The RTE Act specifies that private schools must set aside a quarter of their available seats in early grades like LKG and Class I for children from economically and socially disadvantaged communities. State authorities give priority to enrolling children from specific groups such as sanitation workers, individuals affected by HIV, persons with disabilities, and orphaned children under the RTE admissions procedure. The admission process commences with a public announcement, allowing ample time for applicants to submit their requests digitally to the nearest private school.
Moreover, the selection process should be transparent and fair, possibly utilizing a Draw of Lots system. Subsequently, the results of the admission process must be prominently displayed on the school’s notice board and shared on the institution’s official website, listing the names of all applicants along with their respective roll numbers.
