SSC CHSL Exam 2024: Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination: The annual SSC CHSL Exam, or Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, is a national-level test conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to appoint qualified Higher Secondary graduates into various Indian government departments and offices. SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 requires candidates to meet specific educational qualifications to be eligible for various roles. Candidates aiming for positions such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding DEOs in certain Departments/Ministries) must have completed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. Moreover, individuals aspiring to become Data Entry Operators (DEOs)/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and the Ministry of Culture need to have passed the 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or its equivalent.
Applicants for these positions must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 27 years, meaning they should have been born not before 02-08-1997 and not after 01-08-2006 to be considered eligible. Furthermore, there are provisions for age relaxation beyond the upper age limit according to the prevailing rules and regulations.
SSC CHSL 2024 Salary Package
The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 offers competitive salary packages for different roles:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) employees receive a basic pay of Rs. 19,900 at Pay Matrix Level-2. In metropolitan areas, their total salary reaches Rs. 37,845.
- Data Entry Operators (DEO) are placed in Pay Matrix Level-5 with a basic pay of Rs. 29,200, leading to a total salary of Rs. 57,960 in metro cities.
- Data Entry Operator, Grade A, positions come with a basic pay of Rs. 25,500 in Pay Matrix Level-4. When stationed in metropolitan regions, their total salary adds up to Rs. 51,300.
