Admission Priorities (as per CBSE & DoE Guidelines)

Due to high demand and limited capacity, NPS follows a clear priority order:

  • Siblings of current students (applications often exceed twice the available seats)
  • Children of NPS teaching & non-teaching staff
  • Children of school alumni (NPS has been operating since 1959)
  • Nationally mobile families (Central/State government, PSU, or transferable services)
  • Internationally mobile students returning from schools abroad
  • Minority candidates from other states (to promote national integration)

Note: Admission is not guaranteed even with priority status—final selection depends on entrance test performance and actual vacancies.
