JNVST Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025: Class 6 Registration Started | Apply Now!
Navodaya Vidyalayas are prestigious educational institutions affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that cater to gifted children from Grade VI to Grade XII. These institutions offer a unique opportunity for talented students to receive quality education completely free of cost. Each Navodaya Vidyalaya is a fully residential school where students are provided with complimentary boarding and lodging facilities, school uniforms, textbooks, stationery, and even transportation to and from the school.
While most students enjoy these services without any financial burden, a modest fee of Rs. 600 per month is levied on students in Classes IX to XII as Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi. However, students from marginalized backgrounds such as those belonging to SC/ST categories, girls, and families Below Poverty Line (BPL) are exempt from paying this fee. In contrast, children of government employees are required to pay a monthly Vidyalya Vikas Nidhi (VVN) of Rs. 1500 per student.
