Can I apply to more than one school in KVS admission portal 2025-26?
Is it permissible to submit applications to multiple schools through the KVS admission portal for the academic year 2025-26?: Parents may submit applications for a maximum of three Kendriya Vidyalayas located in proximity to their residence for their child, applicable for any classes including Balvatika-1, Balvatika-3, and Class-1. It is strongly recommended that applicants refrain from submitting multiple applications for the same child to a single Vidyalaya. Should multiple registration forms be submitted for the same child at one Kendriya Vidyalaya, only the most recent application will be considered during the admission process. Furthermore, in the case of a Kendriya Vidyalaya operating in double shifts, each shift will be regarded as a distinct Vidyalaya for the purposes of admission.
How to get Application Submission Code in KVS Portal 2025-26?
Once completing and submitting the online application form on the KVS admission portal for 2025-26, you will receive a unique Application Submission Code, which is distinct from the Login Code. After the submission of an application form and the generation of an Application Submission Code, the submitted application form becomes uneditable. This code is essential and should be utilized for all future communications with your KV school management.
Additionally, a list of original documents required for submission to a Vidyalaya will be provided, should provisional admission be granted by the Vidyalaya. It is important to carefully record your Application Submission Code and the list of documents needed for admission.

If my child was born on April 1, 2019, am I eligible to apply for both Class 1 and Balvatika-3?
The date of birth of the child is a required entry in the KVS online admission application portal. Please ensure that the date of birth is entered as it appears on the child’s birth certificate, which must be issued by a recognized authority. This information is immutable once the sign-up process is completed.
According to the KVS admission guidelines for the academic year 2025-26, the minimum age for admission to class 1 is 6 years, while the maximum permissible age is 8 years as of April 1, 2025. Consequently, the acceptable range for the date of birth for a child applying for class 1 in the 2025-2026 academic year is from April 1, 2017, to April 1, 2019. If the date of birth falls outside this specified range, registration will not be permitted.
A scanned image or photograph of the date of birth proof (in JPEG format, not exceeding 256 KB) must be uploaded when submitting the online admission form.
Date of birth certificates can be obtained from the Notified Area Council, Municipality, Municipal Corporation, Village Panchayat, Military Hospital, or service records of Defence personnel. If a Vidyalaya grants provisional admission to a child, the original date of birth certificate must be presented at the time of admission, and it will be returned after verification.
Submission of Distance Certificate Exclusively for Applicants Under the RTE Quota
When selecting the state and school, the corresponding region and sponsoring agency will be displayed automatically. After choosing the Vidyalaya, you can view its location on a static map by clicking the provided link. Please note that this action will open a new tab in your browser, displaying a map that indicates the school’s location.
For applicants under the categories of Differently Abled, SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Below Poverty Line (BPL), it is necessary to submit a declaration form regarding the distance from your residence. If a child receives provisional admission in the RTE category, proof of residence must be presented at the time of admission. However, admission cannot be refused solely due to the lack of valid proof of residence.
The distance requirements for RTE applicants stipulate that for metro and urban areas, the distance from home to the KV school is 5 kilometers, while for other locations, it is an 8-kilometer radius.
