Bihar RTE 25 Admission: Reimbursement Status
Section 12(2) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act delineates the procedure for compensating Private Unaided Schools for enrolling children as per Section 12(1)(c). This compensation is determined by the per-child expenses specified by the State or the actual fees charged by the school, whichever is lower. The reimbursement is aimed at covering the costs associated with 25% admissions in private unaided schools under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, and has been administered through Samagra Shiksha since the fiscal year 2014-15 (previously under SSA).
